Shannon Fable, Top 3 Finalist for 2009 IDEA Instructor of the Year and 2006 ACE Group Fitness Instructor of the Year, is the founder and CEO of Sunshine Fitness Resources, a fitness consulting firm experienced in providing services for fitness instructors, aspiring educators, fitness manufacturers and managers, as well as the owner of Balletone. Shannon, a Power Bar sponsored athlete, is an international fitness presenter, program developer and Master Trainer for several well known companies including the Nautilus Institute, Schwinn Fitness, BOSU, Gliding, Power Systems, Body Bar and ACE. As a program developer, group fitness manager, personal trainer and educator for more than a decade, Shannon has provided continuing education in more than 15 countries and starred in over 25 fitness DVDs.
A nationally ranked cheerleader and gymnast, Shannon combines her extensive athletic training and performance experience with an infectious energy to create her unique teaching style. She attended the University of Florida on an athletic scholarship, and earned a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in communication studies. After working for Crunch fitness in Atlanta, GA for several years, Fable moved to Boulder seven years ago as the Educational Manager for Schwinn Fitness where she has been instrumental in helping to shape the new Schwinn Indoor Cycling program.
Shannon keeps busy presenting at industry shows such as ECA, IDEA, DCAC, SCW, IHRSA, Club Industry, CAN FIT PRO and AFPA. She also contributes to fitness industry publications such as the IDEA FItness Journal, serves as the editor for Savvier Fitness's online fitness community website, and is in the process of writing her first book for Human Kinetics on Group Fitness Management. Shannon holds both ACE Personal Training and Group Fitness certifications, as well as AFAA National Certifications.
