Philosophy
Tiana first tried Pilates after she retired five years ago. Although she had been active her entire life running, hiking, biking and skiing, as she grew older she found herself plagued with injuries. Since starting Pilates she has been injury free and has developed a passion for the Pilates Method and the concept of uniform development. Through Pilates she learned to strengthen the muscles that were weak and to “turn down the volume” on those muscles that became over-developed through years of doing the same activities. Because of the difference Pilates made in her life she wanted to share this gift with others.
In the words of Joseph Pilates, “if your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old; if it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.” Tiana is committed to helping you become uniformly developed so that you, too, can recapture a balanced life.
