About the Instructor:
Brian began swimming at the age of 6. He walked onto Iowa State University's swim team where he eventually earned a full scholarship. While there, he earned the honor of All-American Honorable Mention and still holds 3 team records. After college, he competed in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke at Olympic Trials. Upon finishing his swimming career, he started coaching at the collegiate group level in Iowa. He added masters swim coach to his title after moving to Colorado in 2009. Brian’s favorite part of coaching is watching swimmers’ jubilation after learning something new.
