Please Note - all children must actively participate in each of the required sport activities.

Arrival and Departure of Children
Parents/Guardians must sign their children in and out of camp everyday with their designated Group Leader.  Colorado Athletic Club staff may request ID verification.  This is for you and your child(ren)’s own protection.  Please expect delays if you do not have the proper identification present.  Anyone picking up a child other than the parent/guardian must be listed on the “Child Release Authorization” form provided.  No child will be released to any person without proper verification and authorization.  No child will be allowed to sign themselves in or out of camp.  All children must arrive and leave camp accompanied by an authorized adult.

Children will not be released to anyone under the influence of any mind-altering substance.  Any parent/guardian or person picking up a child, who is “presumed” to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, will be referred to the Camp Director immediately.  The Camp Director will call another person on the child’s Authorized Pick-up Form.  Should the parent become abusive and/or refuse to comply, we will call “911”.

Identifying Children
Group roster of all children and activities will be made prior to each camp session.  All activities are broken down by time, location, age group, and Group Leader.  Children who are late will check in at the registration desk and will be escorted, by the camp supervisor, to their assigned group.  The Group Leaders will take a final attendance count and submit it to the Camp Director.  Children will be counted before, during and after each activity.  All children will wear a colored wristband for camp identification.  The children will remain with the same Group Leader until they are picked up at the end of each day.

Lost Children
In the event a child should become lost and all efforts made by our staff to find the child have been exhausted, parents, police, and Douglas County Human Services will be notified in that order.  Staff will not leave the premises until all children are picked up and accounted for.  They will check the sign in and out sheet to make sure all children have been picked up and will check all areas of the Blast Center before leaving.

Children not picked up by 6PM
The Camp Director will call the phone numbers for the parents, if we cannot get a hold of the parents the Camp Director will call someone from the Authorized Pick-up form.  If the Camp Director has exhausted all options, the Douglas County and Human Services and Douglas County Sheriff’s Department will be called.  Under no circumstances, will any Colorado Athletic Club employee drive a child home.  Colorado Athletic Club does not transport children to or from the club.

Discipline Policy & Procedures
All children attending Colorado Athletic Club programs are expected to follow the rules and guidelines set forth for their own safety, protection and enjoyment.  We expect parent(s) and child(ren) to respect the facility and staff.  If either (parent or child) is continually disrespectful, the child(ren) and family could be dismissed from the program.  Our Camp Director will call all parents whose child(ren) have continual difficulty following the rules or exhibit ongoing behavioral problems.  Should our discipline procedures prove unsuccessful, the child will be dismissed from our program.  Please understand that in order for each child to have fun safely, we need the children‘s cooperation and good behavior.

Placement in “Time Out”

The child will be taken out of and away from an activity until they are ready to rejoin the group.  “Time Out’s” are supervised by our staff and will be based on a one minute per year of age, maximum.  This will allow the child to think about their behavior and then discuss it.

The child will speak with the Camp Director regarding their behavior.  This misbehavior and resulting discipline action will be recorded and signed by the parent/guardian at the time of pickup.  This record will be kept in the camper’s file.  A child may be dismissed early for the remainder of the day and/or week.  Serious problems may result in suspension from camp for the remainder of the summer.

NO SMOKING, DRUGS OR ALCOHOL will be tolerated.  Children who are caught in the act of selling and/or using these items will be permanently dismissed from our camp.  NO warnings will be issued.  We have a “ZERO TOLERANCE” for these abuses.

*Foul language or disrespectful actions of any kind is not permitted.
*Fighting (verbal or physical) is not acceptable and may result in dismissal.
*Any intentional destruction of Colorado Athletic Club property or equipment my result in dismissal.
*Children are not permitted to bring any squirt guns, toys, gum or valuables to camp.  These items will be held in the Blast Center Office and will be released to the parent/guardian at the time of pick-up.

5.      Eye, ear, or throat infections that in inhibit “normal” play
6.      Lice

Should a child inform us that they are not feeling well, we will notify the parent/guardian immediately.  We will explain the child’s situation to the parent, and then ask what the parent would like us to do.  If a parent/guardian is not available, a phone call will be made to the emergency contact person.  If the emergency contact person is not available, the child will be kept comfortable until someone is reached.  We consider serious injuries/illnesses to be concussions, broken bones, severe cuts, internal trauma, spike in temperature, etc.  In this case the Manager on Duty will be called, then “911”, then the parent.
